I am a specialist haematologist with both clinical and laboratory training and hold dual fellowships with the RACP (Royal Australasian College of Physicians) and RCPA (Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia). This means that I have experience in performing and interpreting a variety of laboratory tests important in the diagnosis of haematological diseases including: bone marrow biopsies, blood film interpretation, haemostasis and platelet testing, haemoglobinopathy investigation and transfusion testing. It also means that I am able to manage all haematological disorders including malignant and non-malignant conditions. I have worked in a variety of clinical and laboratory settings mostly in the South Eastern Sydney and Illawarra regions (St Vincent’s, Prince of Wales, St George and Wollongong Hospitals) and have run haematology clinics in rural NSW (Griffith, Wagga Wagga, the Shoalhaven regions). I am committed to research, teaching and accessing the latest clinical trials for the care of my patients. I am passionate about providing high quality healthcare for everyone and am particularly enthusiastic about combining my clinical and laboratory expertise to diagnose and manage a patient from bench to bedside.
I am eager to work with you in a collaborative way and have access to regular multidisciplinary meetings where patients are discussed with our team of experts to make the best treatment decisions for their condition in line with the latest available evidence.
